Pexep is indicated for the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. As a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), it can help restore serotonin balance in the brain, which may alleviate anxiety and depression symptoms over time.

Pexep should generally be taken once daily, or as directed by your doctor, and can be consumed regardless of meals. Typically, the daily dosage is taken in the morning. The tablet should be swallowed whole and must not be chewed or crushed. Common side effects of Pexep include upset stomach, drowsiness, weakness or fatigue, restlessness or anxiety, insomnia, vivid dreams, dry mouth, and changes in appetite or weight.

It may take 2 to 4 weeks for Pexep to achieve effective levels in your system. Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you have any allergies to this medication or any other medications. Also, provide information about any prescription or nonprescription drugs you have taken in the past two weeks.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, difficulty with urination, seizures, overactive thyroid, or any liver, kidney, or heart diseases. Also, notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while on Pexep, contact your doctor immediately.

Before undergoing any surgery, including dental procedures, inform your physician or dentist that you are taking Pexep. This medication may cause drowsiness, so do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Keep in mind that alcohol may increase the drowsiness associated with this medication. Let your doctor know if you use tobacco products, as smoking may reduce Pexep's effectiveness.

Avoid unnecessary or extended exposure to sunlight, and wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as Pexep may increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight.
